On Wednesday, February 8, I finally made it into Monte San Savino. Wednesday is market day. About half of the vendors were there. But what was amazing was how clean the streets are. Standing in town it would be possible to have no idea that it had snowed except for
the lone snowman in front of Caffe Luna.
My favorite card store was all dressed for Valentine’s Day. I bought a valentine for my young 3rd cousin, Clay. His Mom had forwarded an email from his first grade teacher asking for valentines from all over to coincide with the study of maps. So I sent a valentine. The lady at the post office was nice enough to give me stamps rather than the bland printed postage tape so once it gets to Indiana there will be cool stamps too. Hopefully it will get there in time but might be a day or two late.
The snow has at last started to thaw slowly here but not looking as clean!
