Hay Makin’ and Poppy Time

We have had a dry mild spring.  The grasses have grown well but could have been better with more rain.  But now it is time to cut and bale so that other crops can be planted.

I took these shots down in the valley.  Good thing I stopped when I did because the next day the bales had been taken away and the field plowed under.  Time doesn’t wait for a farmer.

Poppies have started.  Today, Sunday, May 15 is the first rain we have had in maybe 3 weeks.  So I expect to see even more poppies in the next few days.
