Dried Pasta in Fratta
On Sunday, June 12 we went with Ted and Mollie to the dried pasta sagra in Fratta, near Cortona. Ben and I discussed going back to the dried pasta sagra outside of Siena for a third time this year but then agreed that this one could be just as much fun.
I liked the little basket that the volunteer used to bring bottles of wine and water to the table.
I had penne with amatriciana. That is a sauce with bacon (pancetta), tomatoes, and a little bit of red pepper. It is supposed to be a little spicy, but I found this version a little bland.
Ted and Mollie had split several dishes and really enjoyed them.
We left before the dancing started. But still had fun on our own.
