The Last Porcini Sagra

It is always sad when this one rolls around.  It is truly one of the last good ones of the year.  We drive a loooong way to Vivo d’Orcia.  But it is worth it.

This year we were there on Saturday, October 22 with our guests,honeymooners, Randy and Becky from Colorado.

This is the one with the good porcini soup/stew and fried porcini (above).  It is also expensive.  Saturday lunch was not crowded and we could probably have brought along the dog.  As always we enjoyed it.

  1. I’m crazy about mushrooms! Procini, truffles, chanterelle, button – absolutely anything works!! Recently I did something with shitake on my blog. When you have the time, do drop by my space. Would love to hear from you!
