Even though I didn’t help George and Jules harvest their olives, they let me make a harvest dinner to celebrate their new oil.
George’s wine and this year’s oil.
Celebrating with us is the picking crew, Howard and Margaret (at the far end of the table) and Ben and George (at the near end). (Jules was off in Great Britain helping her father)
This year instead of doing a traditional ‘thanksgiving type of dinner’ I made a stuffed pork roast. It was a fine evening. And a good way to honor the harvest.
