NIce, The Senior Tour, April 2013, The food we ate
A really nice chicken Caesar salad our first full day there. (look sunshine)
Dinner that night, a deconstructed Vietnamese dish that I always get. Bun something? Normally served in a bowl, with noodles on bottom, then sections of greens, veg, meat and spring rolls on top with a very light dressing. It was fine this way and very tasty.
Lunch on our second day. Hot goat cheese salad. The way it should be made.
Lunch on the third day. Hot goat cheese salad. The worst one I have ever had. Why oh why would someone put paprika on goat cheese????? And what’s up with the prunes?????
Dinner, the second night. Fresh oysters. Soooooo good. And I scored 2 oyster crates which my very good friend BK had to have on her lap for half the trip home and then Ben put them on his lap. Have I mentioned that the car was a little packed for the trip home?
Dinner our last night in Nice. At Les Secrets de Lili, 8, rue de Suisse, 06000 Nice. Phone 04 93 88 11 48. Just one of the dishes. Very, very very good Chinese food. Sooooo good.
And to finish, no pictures but a few croissants and pain au chocolat were consumed. And as I wrote some where else… ‘’a week old French croissant is still better that a fresh Italian one.” Perhaps it was a good thing for my health and waist line that we were so packed in the car and could not bring any home. But my oyster crates made it. (They will show up later)
