Polenta Sagra


This is the polenta sagra held right down the road from us in Rigutino.  Polenta is made from corn meal and can be like mashed potatoes or it can be firmer.  It is a Fall staple here in Tuscany.

The young woman in the orange apron, one of the volunteer servers, is carrying bottles of wine.  That is how you know you are in Italy, when a 12 year brings you a bottle of wine to go with your Sunday lunch.
